For Chicken

✓ 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

✓ 1 tbsp olive oil

✓ 3 cloves garlic, minced

✓ Zest + juice of 1 lemon

✓ ½ tsp sea salt

✓ ½ tsp black pepper

✓ ½ tsp dried oregano

Method

Preparing

  1. Season the meat: Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and oregano.

  2. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Cook through: Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

  4. Infuse flavor: Add garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the pan.

  5. Baste: Cook 1–2 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken.

  6. Rest: Remove from heat and rest briefly before slicing.

Fitness Tip: For extra juiciness and more efficient cooking, pound the chicken slightly before seasoning to ensure an even thickness across the breast.
